Baize Lake Township, belonging to Yixiu District, Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, northeast of Anqing City, east of Broken Gang Lake, Changfeng Harbor, south of Longshiqiao Township, Yingjiang District, west of Shitang Lake, north of Yangqiao Township. The total area of the jurisdiction is 67.72 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Baizehu Township had a household population of 31,593. In March 1955, Baizehu Commune was established.In May 2005, five villagers' committees of Baizehu Township, Yezhi, Wuxiang, Jiutang, Taiping and Sanyi, were transferred to the newly established Bridge Street Office, and Baizehu Township was changed from 23 villagers' committees under the jurisdiction of the township to 18 under the jurisdiction of the township, which belongs to the newly established Yixiu District. As of June 2020, Baize Lake Township has 5 communities and 4 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township people's government is located in Baize Community. In 2019, Baizehu Township has 74 industrial enterprises, including 16 industrial enterprises above scale, and 31 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
