Chengguan District belongs to Lhasa City, Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, located in the middle reaches of the Lhasa River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River, at an altitude of 3,650 meters above sea level, Chengguan District covers an area of 554 square kilometers, with 31 nationalities, including Tibetans, Han Chinese and Hui. As of October 2021, Chengguan District under the jurisdiction of 12 street offices, 50 village (neighborhood) committees. The People's Government of the district is located at No. 38, Lincuo East Road, Chengguan District. According to the seventh population census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Chengguan District was 473,586 people. In Chengguan District, there are Potala Palace, Dazhao Temple, Xiaozhao Temple, Zongjiao Lukang (Longwangtan Park), Lobulinka and other famous monuments. In October 2017, Chengguan District passed the national special assessment and inspection, and was officially approved by the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region to withdraw from the poverty-stricken districts and counties. on September 4, 2019, it was selected as one of the first national demonstration zones of regional tourism. In 2020, Chengguan District will realize a gross domestic product (GDP) of 37.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%.
