Wubao County, belongs to Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of Shaanxi Province and the southeast of Yulin City. It is bordered by Jiaxian County in the north, Suide County in the west, the Yellow River in the east, and Linxian and Liulin counties in Shanxi Province, with a total area of 420.8 square kilometers. In the third year of Jinzhengda (1226), it was elevated to Wubao County.In 1999, Yulin District was abolished and Yulin City was established at prefecture level. Wubao was reclassified as Yulin City.On May 7, 2019, the People's Government of Shaanxi Province approved the withdrawal of Wubao County from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties. In 2022, the gross regional product of Wubao County was 3.379 billion yuan, an increase of 4.0% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 711 million yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 490 million yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 2.178 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%.
