Huayin City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Shaanxi Province, is administered by Weinan City. Famous for the Western Mountain Huashan in its territory, it is located in the eastern part of Guanzhong Plain, the combined zone of Qin, Jin and Yu provinces, starting from Tongguan in the east and Huazhou District in the west, relying on the Qinling Mountains in the south and the Weishui River in the north, and lies between latitude 34°19′22″-34°40′00″ north and longitude 109°54′00″-110°12′13″ east, with a total area of 676 square kilometers. Huayin City is a famous historical and cultural city in Shaanxi Province and an important birthplace of Yangshao culture. It has a history of more than 2,300 years since it was established in the Spring and Autumn period and the county was set up in the Warring States period. There have been many talented people in the past generations, and it is said that "the world's Yangs are from Huayin". The founding emperor of the Sui Dynasty, Yang Jian, a generation of incorruptible officials, Yang Zhen, and Yang Jiong, one of the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty", are all from Huayin. There are many historical monuments such as the Neolithic Hengjian Longwu Site, the Great Wall Site of Wei in the Warring States period, the Granary Site of the Western Han Dynasty, the Xiyue Temple of Mount Huashan which is known as the "Forbidden City of Shaanxi", and the Yuquan Yuan, a famous garden in the northern part of the country, as well as national intangible cultural heritages such as the Huayin Old Cavity and the Huayin Miaohu.
In 2022, Huayin City realized a gross regional product of 7.934 billion yuan, divided into industries, the primary industry added value of 1.251 billion yuan, the secondary industry added value of 1.155 billion yuan, the tertiary industry added value of 5.528 billion yuan. The structural ratio of the three industries is 15.8:14.6:69.6. The per capita GDP is 39,229 yuan based on the average annual resident population.
