Fengxian County, belonging to Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southwestern part of Shaanxi Province, bordering with Taibai County in the east, Liuba County and Mianxian County in the south of Hanzhong City, Liudang County in the west and Liangdang County in Gansu Province, and neighboring Chencang and Weibin districts in the north, between latitude of 33°34′57″-34°18′21″N and longitude of 106°24′54″E and 107°7′30″E. Feng County, ancient name "Fengzhou", for the Chang'an to Ba Shu must pass through the place, "Qin Shu throat, Han North lock and key", the old road, Lianyun, Baozhi three stacks from the county through the territory. There are three 4A scenic spots and three 3A scenic spots; more than 100 kinds of non-metallic mineral deposits such as lead-zinc, gold and other metals and silica have been proved, and the 14 provincial-level exploration areas identified by the implementation of the strategy of finding mineral breakthroughs in Shaanxi Province, Fengxian County occupies two of them exclusively, which is one of the four major lead-zinc bases in China and the gold-ton gold county in Shaanxi Province; it is the hometown of Chinese peppercorns and the largest forest musk artificial domestication base in the country as well as the base county of mountain apples in Shaanxi Province. Fengxian County is the birthplace of China's Worker's Cooperative Movement (WCM), and in October 2015, President Xi Jinping mentioned Shuangshipu in Shaanxi, the birthplace of WCM, in his toast at a welcome dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
In 2022, Feng County realized a gross regional product of 10.418 billion yuan, of which: the added value of the primary industry was 1.055 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 6.496 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 2.867 billion yuan. The structure ratio of the three industries is 10.1:62.4:27.5. The per capita GDP is 134,825,000 yuan according to the resident population.
