Yishui County, a county under the jurisdiction of Linyi City, Shandong Province, is located in the south-central part of Shandong Province, at the southern foot of Mount Yishan, in the northern part of Linyi City. East of Zhucheng City, Weifang City, Rizhao City, Ju County, west of Zibo City, Yiyuan County, Linyi City, Mengyin County, south of Yinan County adjacent to the north of Weifang City, Anqiu City, Linqu County, bordering on a total area of 2,434.80 square kilometers.2022, Yishui County, the registered population of 1,184,583 people. In addition to Han Chinese, the county has 32 ethnic minorities, including Hui, Mongolian, Miao, Yi, Zhuang, Buyi, Korean and Manchu. At the beginning of the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty, Dong'an County was established. In 596, Dong'an County was changed to Yishui County, and in 1967, Yishui County belonged to Linyi District, and in 1994, Linyi District was abolished and Linyi City was established at prefecture level, to which Yishui County still belongs. Yishui County is the hometown of "red sister-in-law", one of the birthplaces of the Yimeng Spirit, a national experimental area for sustainable development, a national modern agricultural demonstration area, a national key ecological functional area, a national experimental area for marriage reform, and a district for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics.
