Yunlian County, under the Yibin City, Sichuan Province, is located in the southern edge of the Sichuan Basin, the northern foot of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Sichuan-Yunnan combination, the ancient South Silk Road, an important post, and now an important gateway out of Sichuan into Yunnan. It borders with Yanjin, Yiliang and Weixin in Yunnan, and is adjacent to Gaoxian and Gongxian in the province, and is located between latitude 27°50′37"-28°14′28" north and longitude 104°17′45"-104°47′20" east, with a total area of 1,256.35 square kilometers in the county. As of August 2019, Gyunlian County has 7 towns and 5 townships under its jurisdiction.In 2022, Gyunlian County had a household population of 447,500 and a resident population of 329,000 people.
On June 30, 2020, Gyunlian County was selected as "the second batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization of district area list"; on July 29, it was selected as the list of 2019 re-confirmation of the national health townships (county towns).
In 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Gyunlian County will be 17.347 billion yuan, an increase of 5.2%. Among them: the added value of the primary industry is 3.515 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry is 5.971 billion yuan; the added value of the tertiary industry is 7.860 billion yuan, and the proportion of the three industries in GDP is 20.3:34.4:45.3.
