Nanchong City, also known as Fruit City, Silk City, Fruit State, prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is located in the northeastern part of Sichuan Province, the middle reaches of the Jialing River, the landscape type is dominated by hills, the terrain slopes from north to south, belonging to the Central Subtropical humid monsoon climate, with a land area of 12,500 square kilometers. As of October 2022, the city has three districts, five counties and one county-level city under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, the city had a resident population of 5.549 million. In 2023, Nanchong City's regional GDP was 273.476 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5% over the previous year.
