Qingtongxia, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, administered by Wuzhong City, is located in the central part of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the northern part of Wuzhong City, in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River and the central part of the Ningxia Plain, with a mid-temperate continental climate, adjoining six districts and counties (municipalities), with a total area of 2,324.7 square kilometers.
