Hengfeng County, belonging to Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the central part of Shangrao City and the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province, neighboring Guangxin District in the east, bordering with Leadshan County in the south, connecting with Yiyang County in the west, and adjoining with Dexing City in the north. It has an area of 655 square kilometers, with 11 townships (streets, fields and offices) under its jurisdiction.At the end of 2021, the county had a total household population of 229,100 people.
Hengfeng County in the Ming Dynasty Jiajing thirty-ninth year (1560) set up the county, the Republic of China three years (1914), due to the county north of the Hengfeng Mountain changed to Hengfeng County. The Hukun Expressway, National Highway 320, Provincial Highway 204, Hukun Railway, Fengfu Railway and Hukun High-speed Railway pass through the county. There are more than 10 urban theme parks, citizens' leisure plazas and wetland parks such as Cen Mountain National Forest Park.
In 2021, Hengfeng County will realize a gross regional product of 10.083 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% over 2020 at comparable prices.
