Lichuan County, belonging to Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the eastern part of Jiangxi Province, at the junction of Gan and Fujian Provinces, adjacent to four counties and cities of Fujian Province, namely, Glossy, Shaowu, Jianning and Taining, in the southeast, and bordering on three counties of Nancheng, Nanfeng and Zixi in the northwest of the city, which is the eastern gate of Jiangxi Province and the bridgehead of the west of the sea, with a total area of 1,728 square kilometers. As of 2018, Lichuan County has seven towns and eight townships under its jurisdiction, with the county government stationed in Rifeng Town. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Lichuan was known as the "Land of the Hundred Yue". Southern Song Dynasty Shaoxing eight years (1138) on March 25, the county, the county seat of Litan Town, so the new county, also known as Lichuan, belongs to the jurisdiction of the Jianchang Army. It is selected as one of the top ten red tourism shrines in China (Jiangxi). The forest coverage rate of Lichuan County reaches 68.94%, which is the national ecological demonstration area and national key ecological function area. Lichuan has many historical relics such as ten miles of Ming and Qing long streets, Chau Lake boat-shaped ancient houses, four ancient temples of Fuk Luk Shou Xi, etc. It is the hometown of Chinese Cephalotaxus and the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art (oil painting).
