Park Overview
The Fuzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, formerly known as the Fuzhou Jinniao Economic Development Zone, was established in August 1992 and was officially upgraded to a National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone by the State Council in February 2015.It has successively been designated as a National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, a National New Industrialization Industrial Demonstration Base (Data Center), a National Intellectual Property Pilot and Demonstration Park, a National Youth Entrepreneurship Demonstration Park, a National Entrepreneurship Incubation Demonstration Base, a National Pilot for Innovative Biomedical Industrial Clusters, a National High-Tech Industrialization Base for Fine Chemicals, a Provincial New Industrialization (Digital Economy) Industrial Base, a Provincial Smart Manufacturing Base, and a Provincial Key Industrial Cluster for Electronic Information, among other honors.
Fuzhou High-Tech Zone is located in the central urban area of Fuzhou City. It administers one town and two subdistricts, comprising 26 villages (including rural communities), 21 urban communities, and over 160 residential neighborhoods, with a permanent population of 200,000. The zone covers an area of 158.6 square kilometers. Following the delineation of the “Three Zones and Three Lines” in 2022, the developable area stands at 39 square kilometers, with approximately 22 square kilometers currently developed.
In recent years, Fuzhou High-Tech Zone has focused on the objectives of “leading the way, striving for excellence, and delivering results.” In accordance with the provincial Party committee and provincial government’s work arrangements to build “three major hubs” and implement “five major strategies,” and closely aligning with the municipal Party committee and municipal government’s approach of promoting “one major brand,” implementing “six major strategies,” and advancing “three major construction projects,” the zone has strived to build “one city (the City of New Energy Vehicles)” and “one center (a center for high-end precision manufacturing), driving the development of “three major industries (new energy, new materials, and pharmaceuticals).” By making every effort to boost the economy and stabilize growth, the zone is striving to become a 100-billion-yuan industrial park. It has demonstrated a positive momentum of high-quality development, serving as a reliable growth engine to help Fuzhou advance and catch up with leading regions.
