Longhui County, a county under the jurisdiction of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwestern part of central Hunan and the northern part of Shaoyang City, at the upper reaches of the Zijiang River and the remnants of the Xuefeng Mountains, with a humid climate of the Central Subtropical Monsoon and adjoining six counties (municipalities), with a total area of 2,868 square kilometers. Longhui evolved into "Longhui" based on the myth and legend "Longhui" and the resonance of the name of the place, and in October 1949, Longhui County was established under the Shaoyang District Inspector's Office; in April 1955, it was renamed as Shaoyang Commissioner's Office of Hunan Province; in October 1977, it was renamed as Shaoyang District Administrative Office. In October 1977, it was renamed Shaoyang District Administrative Office; in January 1986, the Shaoyang District was abolished, and Longhui County was transferred to Shaoyang City. The main attractions of Longhui County are Weiyuan Hot Spring, Hushang Mountain-Huayao Scenic Spot, Hunan Longhui Weiyuan Lake National Wetland Park, and Xiangjiao Cave Winery.On June 30th, 2020, Longhui County was selected as one of the "Second Batch of County List of Revolutionary Cultural Relics Protection and Utilization Area".On December 27th, 2022, Longhui County was selected as one of the "2021-2025" National Wetland Parks.
