Zixing City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hunan Province, administered by Chenzhou City, is located in the southeastern part of Hunan Province and the eastern part of Chenzhou City, upstream of Lei River and at the southern end of Luoxiao Mountains, with a subtropical monsoon humid climate, adjacent to seven counties and districts, with a total area of 2,746.79 square kilometers. The name of Zixing is named after the Zixing River that flows through the front of the city, which means "rich in resources and prosperous". Tang Xianheng three years (672 years), from Chen County precipitated, began to be called Zixing County; Southern Song Dynasty Shao Ding two years (1229 years), renamed Xingning; Republic of China three years (1914), due to the same name with the Xingning County, Guangdong Province, Zixing County; May 1961, Zixing County resumed its establishment; in December 1984, approved by the State Council, Zixing County, built the city.
