Hanshou County, belonging to Changde City, Hunan Province, is located in northwestern Hunan Province, at the shore of Dongting Lake and at the tail of Yuan River, bordering Yuanjiang and Nanxian in the east, Ziyang and Taojiang in the south, Dingcheng in the west, Xihu Farm in the north, and Anxiang across the river, with a total area of 2,021 square kilometers. Anciently known as Suo County, Hanshou has a long history, with several Neolithic sites more than 7,000 years old, and is not only an important Chu culture inheritance site and the birthplace of Canglang culture, but also formed the unique Canglang culture, Qu Chu culture and dragon boat culture.
