Anxiang County, belonging to Changde City, Hunan Province, is located in the northwestern part of Dongting Lake, which is the northern gate of Hunan Province, and is at the junction of four cities and eight counties of Hunan and Hubei Provinces, with geographic coordinates between longitude 110°59'-112°18' and latitude 29°08'-29°46', and covering a total area of 1,087 square kilometers.
