Wupu Town, belonging to Yunmeng County, Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, is located in the eastern part of Yunmeng County, neighboring Steigang Town of Xiaonan District in the east, Wuluo Town in the south, Yunmeng urban area in the west, and Zengdian Town and Yitang Town in the north, with an administrative area of 65 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, the registered population of Wupu Town is 38,082. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to Mang State and was adjacent to the capital of Rogue State (Yunmeng) in the west.In 1987, it was changed to Wupu Town. As of October 2021, Wupu Town has 4 communities and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with the town's people's government stationed in Wupu Community. In 2019, Wupu Town has 189 industrial enterprises, including 32 above scale, and 28 general stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
