Xiaonan District, belongs to Xiaogan City, Hubei Province. Located in the north of the Jianghan Plain, adjacent to Wuhan, is a major transportation route to northwestern and northeastern Hubei, and is an important part of the Yangtze River economic development belt. In 1993, Xiaonan District and county-level Xiaonan City were abolished and Xiaonan City was established; the former county-level Xiaonan City was divided into Xiaonan District and Xiaochang County. Xiaonan is the place where the "Seven Fairies" descended from the earth. It has been the seat of counties, states, prefectures, offices and cities since the first year of the Song Dynasty (454 A.D.). Xiaonan is rich in cotton, oilseeds, livestock, eggs, melons and fruits, and is the national production base of commercial grains and high-quality rice, as well as the production base of China's "four" famous peaches. In 2022, the gross regional product of Xiaonan District was 238.066 billion yuan (current price), an increase of 4.5%. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 4.525 billion yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 11.600 billion yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 21.940 billion yuan, and the structure of the three industries is adjusted to 11.9:30.5:57.6.
