Jingzhou City, ancient name Jiangling, Yingdu, South County, Hubei Province, prefecture-level city, located in the south-central part of Hubei Province, the terrain is slightly higher in the west and lower in the east, from the low hills to the gradual transition of granite and plains. It belongs to the northern subtropical monsoon humid climate zone; as of April 2022, Jingzhou City has a total of two municipal districts, two counties, and four county-level cities under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 14,100 square kilometers; as of the end of 2022, Jingzhou City had a resident population of 5,135,100 people.
