Qixian County, belonging to Kaifeng City, Henan Province, is located in the eastern part of Henan Province, connecting Lankao County, Kaifeng City, and Minquan County, Shangqiu City, in the north, Suixian County, Shangqiu City, in the east, Taikang County, Zhoukou City, in the south, and Xiangfu District, Kaifeng City, and Tongxu County, in the west. The total area is 1243 square kilometers. Qixian County is a "provincial-level famous historical and cultural city", where Qiguiguo, a state during the Xia Dynasty, had built its capital and established its state for more than 1,000 years. It is the famous Yuandong Revolutionary Base in modern times, where a lot of battles of Yuandong Battle took place, and it is one of the 14 first-class old revolutionary areas in Henan. In 2012, Qixian County Industrial Cluster was named "the province's top ten new industrialization industry demonstration base".On December 13, 2018, it was selected as the list of China's characteristics of agricultural products advantageous area. According to the seventh census data, as of zero hour on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Qixian County was 932,126 people.
