Zhengzhou City, abbreviated as "Zheng", the history of "heaven and earth in the", anciently known as the capital of commerce, now known as the Green City, prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province, the capital of the province, megacities, the "13th Five-Year Plan" to promote the rise of the central region. On October 30, 1954, the government of Henan Province was moved from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou, and Zhengzhou City became the capital of Henan Province. Zhengzhou is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization, a national historical and cultural city, one of the six major heritage areas supported by the state, and a member of the World Historic Cities Alliance. By the end of 2021, Zhengzhou has 83 national key cultural relics protection units, 97 provincial cultural relics protection units, 208 municipal cultural relics protection units, and 6 national intangible cultural heritage lists. It is a national transportation hub with both public, railway, aviation and mail, and has formed a transportation network consisting of three modes of transportation: railroad, highway and aviation. As of September 2023, Zhengzhou City has 2 terminals, 2 runways, 162 air routes, 6 train stations, 2 railroad lines, 6 high-speed rail lines, 11 subway lines, 11 highways and 37 BRT lines.

By industry, the added value of primary industry is 17.22 billion yuan, up 1.0% year-on-year; the added value of secondary industry is 537.34 billion yuan, up 11.1% year-on-year; the added value of tertiary industry is 807.22 billion yuan, up 5.1% year-on-year.
