Napo County, belonging to Baise City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, spanning longitude 105°31′~106°5′E and latitude 22°55′~23°32′N, with a total area of 2,231.11 square kilometers. Located at a low latitude, Napo County has a subtropical monsoon climate. As of October 2021, Napo County has 3 towns and 6 townships under its jurisdiction; the county people's government is located in Chenggang Town. As of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Napo County was 171,781 people.
It was founded in the fifth year of the Song Dynasty (1053) as Zhen'an Dong (now Sensangyan on the north side of Chenggang Town), and belonged to Yongzhou.In 1971, Napo County was reclassified as Baise Area.On June 2, 2002, Baise Area and Baise City were abolished and Baise City was established at the prefecture level. Napo County was transferred to Baise City. Napo County is a pilot county for the construction of a close-knit county medical community and a national key county for rural revitalization. The main attractions include Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Spot, Luping Ancient Fortress and Baiyun Mountain Primitive Forest Park.
