Yantian District, a municipal district of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, with geographical coordinates between latitude 22°26′59"-22°51′49" north and longitude 113°45′44"-114°34′21" east, is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen, 12 kilometers from the city center. ", located in the eastern part of Shenzhen City, 12 kilometers away from the city center, west of Shenzhen Luohu District, east of Dapeng New District, north of Longgang District and Pingshan District, south of Hong Kong's New Territories and the landscape, Shatoujiao Border Crossing and Hong Kong directly connected. The district is surrounded by mountains and the sea, with Wutong Mountain and Meisha Point in the north and Dapeng Bay in the south. The area of the district is 74.99 square kilometers. As of 2021, Yantian District has four streets under its jurisdiction. As of the end of 2022, Yantian District had a resident population of 211,500 people. Yantian has a long history. Archaeological excavations at the Dameisha Bay dune site show that humans flourished here in the Neolithic era. Four or five thousand years ago, that is, the Central Plains region of Xia, Shang Dynasty, this place for the Baiyue tribal settlement. In 214 B.C., Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China and set up the Nanhai, Guilin and Xiang counties in the Lingnan region, and Yantian area belongs to the Panyu County of Nanhai County, which has a long history and is one of the ten major municipal districts in Shenzhen, the birthplace of the Gengzi Uprising, and the inheritance place of the Hakka culture of the Lingnan region.
Yantian district is surrounded by mountains and the sea, with winding coasts, natural beach attractions such as Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, the majestic and steep Wutong Mountain, with many varieties of migratory birds on the mountain, and the birds singing in the valley of Sanzhoutian Mountain, which is surrounded by clouds, making Yantian a famous tourist attraction in Shenzhen.
In 2022, Yantian's gross regional product was 82.062 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of the primary industry is 0.32 billion yuan, an increase of 1541.5%; the added value of the secondary industry is 15.143 billion yuan, an increase of 8.5%; the added value of the tertiary industry is 66.887 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3%. The proportion of added value of primary industry to the region's GDP was 0.04%, the proportion of added value of secondary industry was 18.45%, and the proportion of added value of tertiary industry was 81.51%. Per capita GDP was RMB 384,455, an increase of 6.0% over the previous year.
