Pan'an County, belonging to Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the central part of Zhejiang Province, between longitude 120°17'~120°47'E and latitude 28°49'~29°19'N. It has a subtropical monsoon climate, with significant alternating winter and summer monsoon winds, and distinct seasonal changes, with a total area of 1,195 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Pan'an County has 2 streets, 7 towns, and 5 townships under its jurisdiction, with the county people's government stationed at No. 1 Longshan Road, Anwen Street. As of the end of 2022, Pan'an County had a resident population of 178,000 people. Pan'an County belonged to Yue in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period, and was formally established in 1939. 1958, the whole area was incorporated into Dongyang County, and 1983, Pan'an County was restored. Pan'an County is the largest Confucian settlement in the south of the Yangtze River, with Yushan Ancient Tea Plantation and Zixi Confucian Family Temple, two "national key cultural relics protection units" and the National Nature Reserve Dapanshan, the national 4A scenic spot Baizhangtan and clamped eighteen whirlpools, ecological Twin Peaks rafting, and Yunshan provincial tourism resort. Pan'an County is a mountain ancestor of the source of water, Pan'an has been known as "the ancestor of the mountains, the source of the water", is the Qiantang River, Oujiang River, Lingjiang River and Cao'e River, the main source of the four major water systems. Pan'an County is also known as "Bonsai in Zhejiang, natural oxygen bar". There are national rare and protected plants such as the southern red bean tree and the fragrant fruit tree, as well as the money leopard and the black muntjac, and other first-class protected animals in Pan'an. Pan'an is also the hometown of Chinese medicinal herbs, the hometown of Chinese shiitake mushrooms, the hometown of Chinese ecological dragon wells, the hometown of Chinese famous tea, the hometown of Chinese tea culture, the hometown of Chinese Cephalotaxus sinensis, the birthplace of Chinese dragon dance, the national eco-county, the national sanitary townships (county townships), and one of the first batch of pilot areas in Zhejiang's high-quality development and construction of the common wealth demonstration area. In 2022, Pan'an County realized a gross domestic product (GDP) of 13.356 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 0.4%.
