Changxing County, belonging to Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, Hangjiahu Plain of the Yangtze River Delta, the southwestern shore of Taihu Lake, the junction of Zhejiang, Anhui and Suzhou Provinces, and bordering with Anji County of Huzhou City, Wuxing District, and Guangde City of Xuancheng City of Anhui Province, and Yixing City of Wuxi City of Jiangsu Province. It lies between latitude 30°43′-31°11′ north and longitude 119°33′-120°06′ east, with a total area of 1,430 square kilometers. Changxing was known as the Great Wall in ancient times. In the Spring and Autumn Period (514-495 BC), King Helu of Wu sent his brother, Fu Gao, to build a city two miles southeast of present-day Pheasant City as an area for King Fu Gao. Because of the narrowness and length of the city, it is called the Great Wall, which has a history of more than 2,500 years.
