Jiahe County, belongs to Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It is located in the southwestern part of Chenzhou City, bordering Guangdong and Hong Kong in the south and Yonggui in the west, with geographic coordinates located at longitude 112°14′3′′~112°35′26′′ and latitude 25°26′12′′~25°47′29′′ in the north. As of 2020, Jiahe County has 9 towns and 1 township under its jurisdiction, with a total area of 699.33 square kilometers. According to the seventh census, as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020, Jiahe County had a resident population of 343,169 people.
Jiahe, Ming belonged to Guiyang and Linwu County. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jiahe was subordinate to Chenxian Prefecture, renamed Chenzhou Prefecture in November 1950, merged into Xiangnan Administrative Region in November 1952, restored Chenxian Prefecture in July 1954, renamed Chenzhou Prefecture in 1960, renamed Chenzhou Area of Hunan Province in March 1979, and renamed Chenzhou Area of Chenzhou City in December 1994, with Jiahe belonging to Chenzhou City. It has been awarded as "National Sports Advanced County", "National Health County", "China Foundry Industry Cluster Pilot County", "Hunan Foundry Industry Base", "Hunan Foundry Industry Base", "China Foundry Industry Cluster Pilot County" and "Hunan Foundry Industry Base". Industry Base", "Hunan Garden County", "Hometown of Folk Song" and other honorary titles.In 2018, the national health county (township) was reconfirmed.In October 2021, it was selected as one of the "2021 China's top 100 counties and cities of smart cities" list.
In 2022, Jiahe County's gross regional product was 16.913 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of primary industry is 2.644 billion yuan, the added value of secondary industry is 6.741 billion yuan; the added value of tertiary industry is 7.528 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1%.
