Xigong District, belonging to Luoyang City, Henan Province, is located in the center of Luoyang, with a total area of 55.95 square kilometers. The entire topography of Xigong District is high in the north and low in the south, and the landform consists of urban plains and hilly areas of Mangshan Mountain and a small amount of slopes. Xigong District is located in the warm temperate zone with four distinct seasons. As of October 2019, Xigong District has nine streets under its jurisdiction. The district government is located in Wangcheng Road Street. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Xigong District was 369,000 people.
Heluo culture originated in the ancient Heluo region of China, centered on Luoyang, and is one of the sources of Chinese culture. The rise and fall of the ancient and modern Luoyang, "six dynasties" survival read Xigong. Since King Cheng of the Western Zhou Dynasty built a royal city here in the fifth year (1038), 30 emperors of six dynasties, including the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Later Liang Dynasty, Later Tang Dynasty and Later Jin Dynasty, have built their capitals here. In the twelfth year of the Republic of China (1923), the Henan Provincial Governor's Office was moved to Xigong, and in November 1975, the administrative division of the city districts was adjusted to restore the establishment of Xigong District. Jiluo high-speed north-south, 310 National Highway, Xiaolangdi special line transit. Luo River flows through the district. It was awarded the title of Outstanding County (City and District) of Integrated Governance and Peaceful Construction in the province in 2017. There are attractions in the area such as Tianzi Driving Sixth Museum, Yingtianmen Ruins, Xigong Military Camp, and Cherry Gully Scenic Area.
In 2022, Xigong District realized a GDP of 55.26 billion yuan, up 3.9% year-on-year, with the total amount ranking third in the city.
