Jianxi District, belongs to Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is located in the west of the Jianhe River in Luoyang City, bordered by the Jianhe River in the east and Xigong District in the west, bordered by Xin'an County in the west, the Luo River in the south, and the Jianhe River in the north, with a total area of 888.8 square kilometers.In 2021, the resident population of Jianxi District was 507,700 people. As of October 2022, Jianxi District has 11 streets under its jurisdiction. The district government is located at No.12 Xiyuan Road. Since the Shang Dynasty, Jianxi has served as a forbidden garden of the capital. After the founding of New China, it belonged to the fourth district of Luoyang County.In 1954, it was changed to the fourth district of Luoyang City.In 1955, the fourth district was changed to Jianxi District.
