From February 22 to 25, the Investment Promotion Leading Group of the 10th Division and Beitun City, in collaboration with Guchuan Lianhang, organized a four-day training session on investment promotion across the entire division and city.

Wang Shengping, Secretary of the Division and City Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Director of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee; Chen Fang, Deputy Secretary of the Division and City Party Committee, Division Commander, and Mayor; and other division and city leaders—including Li Hongqiang, Tang Jianjun, Chen Gang, Wei Jianjun, Xin Geng, Chen Qiang, and Chen Xianqing—attended the event. A total of over 300 participants attended the training at the main venue and various branch venues across the division and city.

During this training, Guichuan University delivered targeted lectures to participants from various perspectives, including understanding key factors in corporate investment site selection, rapidly developing expertise in investment promotion, how to effectively conduct an investment promotion conference, and industrial planning and investment promotion roadmaps. Closely addressing the pain points and challenges in investment promotion work, the training provided participants with insights on how to evaluate projects through a series of processes such as information mining, screening, and follow-up.

Adopting the Investor’s Perspective: Site Selection from the Enterprise’s Viewpoint

Understanding the core factors influencing corporate site selection is essential in the investment promotion process . To enhance the trainees’ practical skills, Shan Yingna, Head of Industrial Operations at Guchuan United Chengdu, presented a new perspective on “empathic investment promotion.” She focused on the reasons, factors, and processes behind corporate site selection, combining practical experience and case studies to illustrate this approach.

She emphasized that to strengthen the bond between industrial parks and enterprises and facilitate the precise implementation of projects, it is essential to adopt an empathetic approach—truly viewing core investment factors from the enterprise’s perspective, enhancing service awareness, and comprehensively strengthening investment promotion capabilities. Additionally, using the “Analysis of Great Wall Motor’s Project Settlement” as a case study, she elaborated in detail on the importance of assessing the investment landscape and maintaining comprehensive control over service delivery during project negotiations.

Investment Promotion Express: Rapidly Cultivating Investment Promotion Experts

In the subsequent "Investment Promotion Express" session, Han Wenyun, Deputy General Manager of GuChuan United Tianjin, delivered a presentation covering foundational concepts of investment promotion and strategic roadmaps for investment attraction. This effectively helped participants broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding, and innovate their approaches to investment promotion.Drawing on classic case studies from GuChuan United’s “Analysis of the Mitchell Project’s Settlement” and “Analysis of the MicroPort Medical Project’s Settlement,” and closely aligning with local investment promotion realities, he dissected practical investment attraction techniques for the attendees.

Furthermore, every stage of an investment promotion event—from preliminary preparation and on-site management to post-event services and follow-up—is critical. Drawing on his years of experience, Mr. Han focused on the “core levers” that government industrial parks must master to host successful investment promotion events, and shared practical insights on how to organize such events effectively in a clear and accessible manner.

Industrial Planning and Investment Attraction Roadmaps

Effective planning of key industry supply chains and the creation of investment attraction maps can make investment promotion efforts smoother and more efficient. Therefore, this training session featured Song Lingfei, Deputy General Manager of GuChuan United Shanghai, who delivered a course titled “Industrial Planning and Investment Attraction Maps.”

In her session, Ms. Song shared a wealth of practical knowledge, including industrial chain analysis, investment promotion strategies for industrial chains, the creation of industrial maps, the compilation of key enterprise directories, and the development of industrial chain investment promotion maps. This helped participants approach their work from an industrial perspective and further enhance their ability to manage projects.

The training content was closely aligned with the practical needs of Beitun City’s investment promotion efforts, with the core objective of enhancing participants’ practical investment promotion skills, aiming to enable them to conduct investment promotion work more quickly and efficiently after completing the training.

Moving forward, Guchuan United will continue to deepen its collaboration with Beitun City of the 10th Division. Leveraging the “Internet+Investment Promotion” model, we will help Beitun City broaden its investment promotion perspectives and focus on industrial chain-based investment attraction.
