The Bazhong Economic Development Zone in Sichuan was established in 2003 and was approved as a provincial-level economic development zone by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government in 2011. It is located in the eastern part of Bazhou District, Bazhong City. With a planned area of approximately 55 square kilometers, it operates under a “One Zone, Three Parks” structure (Xingwen Industrial Park, Qingjiang Industrial Park, and Zengkou Industrial Park).The development zone serves as the core industrial platform for the revitalization and development of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area, as well as a new urban district in Bazhong City characterized by “integrated industry and urban development, and a livable and business-friendly environment.” It has been successively designated as the “Sichuan Provincial Demonstration Base for New Industrialization” and the “Sichuan Provincial Demonstration Park for Circular Economy.”
