Tianxin District (天心区), a municipal district of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is located in the southwest of Chengdu, with a total area of 75.36 square kilometers, and is separated from Jinjiang District (錦江区) to the east, bordered by Gaoxin District (高新区) and Shuangliu District (双流区) to the south, connected to Shuangliu District (双流區) to the west, and adjoining Qingyang District (qingyang District) to the north. As of 2023, it has jurisdiction over 15 streets with a total of 71 neighborhoods. The district's people's government is located at No. 264 Wuhouci Street. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Wuhou District was 1,219,800, and the urbanization rate of the resident population was 100%. Wuhou District is one of the old five districts of Chengdu, and the area under its jurisdiction was anciently the territory of Shu. During the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China, it belonged to Chengdu Prefecture, Huayang County and Shuangliu County, and in September 1990, approved by the State Council, Chengdu City was reorganized to establish five districts, namely Jinjiang, Qingyang, Jinniu, Wuhou and Chenghua. Wuhou District is named after the famous Wuhou Temple in the district. Wuhou District is a "high-tech cultural district" positioned by the State Council, and has been awarded the "National Sports Industry Demonstration Base", "China's Night Economic Prosperity Top 100 Counties and Cities" and other honors. In 2022, Wuhou District will realize a GDP of 137.27 billion yuan, a per capita GDP of 112,710 yuan, and an annual general public budget revenue of 10.53 billion yuan.
