The Zhongchuan Park of Lanzhou New Area was established in July 2017. It is organized at the county-level and falls under the administration of the Lanzhou New Area Management Committee. It is located in the area surrounding Zhongchuan Airport—south of the East No. 1 Main Canal, west of the eastern property line of Jing 15th Road, and north of the southern property line of South Ring Road. It currently administers 1 town,2 central communities, 22 administrative villages, and 15 residential communities.Including areas such as the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Zhongchuan Airport, the zone has a planned area of 281.39 square kilometers, with 85.39 square kilometers designated for construction. As the core area for the New Zone’s development, it focuses on advancing industries such as advanced equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, commerce and logistics, airport-based economy, electronic information, modern services, and cultural tourism.It primarily performs basic functions such as economic development, project services, urban management, investment promotion, social services, and Party building.
The park has well-developed supporting infrastructure; road networks are largely complete; and commercial and residential areas are fully equipped with water, electricity, gas, and heating.An educational cluster has been established, represented by the New District Branch of Lanzhou Experimental Kindergarten, the New District Branch of Lanzhou Refinery No. 1 Primary School, the New District Branch of Lanzhou No. 11 High School, the New District Branch of Lanzhou No. 1 High School, and the New District Branch of Lanzhou No. 61 High School. The healthcare system is represented by the New District Branch of the Provincial People’s Hospital,Zhongchuan People’s Hospital, and the Provincial Comprehensive Service Base for Persons with Disabilities; a core commercial layout represented by the Outlets International Commercial Plaza and Ruiling International Commercial Complex; a building materials industry hub represented by the New District Comprehensive Market and Wanli City; a multi-tiered residential system represented by Lan Shi Affordable Housing, Ruiling Cuiyuan,Ruiling Yayuan, and Greenland Smart Financial City; a cultural and tourism industry centered on Qixia Lake, Qinwangchuan National Wetland Park, Western Dinosaur Park, and the Great Wall Film and Television Base; technology incubation bases represented by the Industrial Incubation Tower and the Asia-Pacific Technology Headquarters Base; comprehensive basic industries represented by Beike Weituo, Foci Pharmaceutical,China Silian, and Zhidou New Energy Vehicles; and specialty town projects centered on modern agriculture, the rose industry, ecological restoration, and culture and sports. A central urban area with distinctive industrial characteristics, comprehensive functions, complete supporting facilities, and a beautiful environment—ideal for living, working, and tourism—has begun to take shape.Moving forward, the Zhongchuan Park will focus on the New District’s “Four Zones and Two New Initiatives” development goals to further enhance its comprehensive industries—including technology, education, culture, tourism, manufacturing, commerce, ecology, and agriculture—while improving urban management functions and the capacity for social development. The goal is to transform the Zhongchuan Park into a livable city that everyone aspires to call home.
