Shaoguan High-Tech Zone was formerly known as the Northern Guangdong Industrial Development Zone, established in 1992; it became the Shaoguan Industrial Park in 2007; was renamed the Dongguan (Shaoguan) Industrial Transfer Park in 2008; and was designated as a provincial-level high-tech zone in 2010 with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Government.Adhering to the principles of prioritizing ecology and green development, Shaoguan High-Tech Zone is focused on building a new framework for coordinated development featuring “one zone, multiple parks,” and is committed to establishing a national-level high-tech zone by “promoting construction through upgrading.”
The Shaoguan High-Tech Zone has achieved remarkable results in industrial clustering, initially forming a “1+3” modern industrial system led by high-end equipment manufacturing and featuring specialized development in new materials, biopharmaceuticals, and modern services.Among these, the specialized construction machinery and key components industry has achieved integrated and innovative development across its upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, and has been designated as a National Innovative Industrial Cluster, a High-Tech Industrialization Base, and a Torch Specialized Industrial Base.
