The Zhangping Industrial Park in Fujian is a provincial-level industrial park approved for construction by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is located east of downtown Zhangping City, 1 kilometer from the Zhangping Railway Marshalling Yard. The park’s total planned area spans 15.78 square kilometers, comprising a light textile cluster, a chemical industry cluster, a He’an machinery manufacturing cluster, a food processing zone, a bamboo and wood processing zone, and a new industrial and trade zone.
The park was officially established in 2001. As of May 2024, 127 industrial enterprises have settled in the park, of which 103 have commenced production. There are 81 industrial enterprises above designated size and 28 enterprises with an output value exceeding 100 million yuan. In 2023, the park’s total industrial output value reached 11.981 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.1%;tax revenue from enterprises totaled 182.5 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 102.25%. The park currently employs 7,450 workers, and with its continuously improving infrastructure, it has become a vital platform for investment promotion and economic development in Zhangping City.
Fujian Zhangping Industrial Park has now established a modern industrial structure dominated by light textiles, bamboo and wood processing, steel and machinery, chemicals, building materials, and electronics.The park’s development strategy is to build upon existing industries while simultaneously developing high-tech products in electronics, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, ecology, and environmental protection, complemented by supporting industries such as warehousing, distribution, technology, training, culture, and horticulture. The development goal is to have 200 enterprises operating in the park by 2010, with an industrial output value exceeding 10 billion yuan.
