Park Overview
Established in 1996, the Fujian Dehua Ceramic Industrial Park is the only national demonstration pilot park for circular economy transformation in Fujian Province. It was formerly known as the Quanzhou Dehua Private Technology Ceramic Park.In 1997, the park was designated as a provincial-level private-sector technology-oriented ceramic industrial park. In 2005, it was designated as the Dehua Ceramic Industrial Park of the China Private Enterprise Technology Promotion Association and the Dehua Ceramic Industrial Base under the National Torch Program. In 2006, it was reviewed and approved by the provincial government, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Land and Resources as a provincial-level development zone and was officially named the Fujian Dehua Ceramic Industrial Park.
The Fujian Dehua Ceramic Industrial Park has a total planned area of 8.98 square kilometers, with a planned land use of 1,700 mu and a total investment of 1.02 billion yuan. It is divided into three zones: the Chengdong Industrial Zone, the Baomei Industrial Zone, and the Gaoyang Industrial Zone.The park primarily focuses on the production of tableware, artistic ceramics, architectural ceramics, sanitary ware, industrial ceramics, raw and auxiliary materials for ceramics, and related supporting industries. It is home to over 1,100 enterprises in these sectors and employs 120,000 industrial workers. On September 12, 2012, the park was designated by the National Development and Reform Commission as Fujian Province’s sole national demonstration pilot zone for circular economy transformation.As of July 2023, the park is home to the nation’s largest household ceramics enterprise—Guangfu Home—as well as the Dehua Ceramics Vocational and Technical College, a provincial-level ceramic technology development base, a provincial-level ceramic quality testing center, a ceramic commercial street, a publicly listed ceramic company, a ceramic science and technology park, a ceramic museum, two ceramic exhibition and sales centers, and five ceramic industrial project zones.
