The Gutian Industrial Park was established in 2006 with the approval of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government. It is divided into an East Zone and a West Zone, with a planned area of 676.95 mu within the development zone’s actual jurisdiction. Currently, there are 118 enterprises in the park, including 23 enterprises above designated size and 18 commercial enterprises above a certain scale. The leading industry is edible mushroom processing.
The park enjoys convenient transportation via road, rail, and waterways.National Highway 316 and Provincial Highways 202 and 304 traverse Gutian County, while the Waifu Railway and the Minjiang Waterway pass through the towns of Huangtian and Shuikou. The park is 121 kilometers from Fuzhou, 30 kilometers from Gutian Station on the Waifu Railway, approximately 15 kilometers from the under-construction Gutian North Station on the Beijing-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, and 1 kilometer from the upcoming Gutian Interchange on the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway.
