The Fujian Shouning Industrial Park is an integral part of the 100-billion-yuan motor and electrical appliance industrial cluster in Eastern Fujian and serves as a key platform for Shouning County to attract industrial relocation from southeastern Zhejiang. Established in 2002, it was designated as a provincial-level industrial park by the Fujian Provincial Government in 2006. The park has a total planned area of 10,000 mu and will be developed in two phases.Phase I covers nearly 5,000 mu, with metal processing, electronics, and electrical appliances as its leading industries. Currently, foundational work such as the master plan, detailed plan, and environmental impact assessment for the 5,000-mu area has been completed, and 2,600 mu of land has been acquired. Infrastructure construction, including the “three utilities and one leveling” (water, electricity, and gas supply, plus land leveling) and the sewage treatment plant, is proceeding in an orderly manner, and the supporting 110,000-volt substation has been completed and put into operation.Phase II is planned for 5,000 mu at the Nanyang Expressway interchange, with high-tech industries, agricultural and sideline product processing, and cultural and creative industries as its main sectors. Currently, leveraging the development of Nanyang’s pilot small town, the project has designated functional zones such as the High-Tech Industrial Park, Menglong Industrial Park, and Logistics Park to accelerate the clustering of industries within the park.
