The Zhao'an Industrial Park is a provincial-level key development zone in the southernmost part of Fujian Province, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, with a total planned area of 1.41 square kilometers. The park is located in the triangular area west of Zhao'an County, at the junction of the Zhangzhou–Shantou, and Pinghe highways, situated between the two Special Economic Zones of Xiamen and Shantou. National Highway 324 and the Zhangzhou-Zhao’an Expressway traverse the zone. Within a radius of several dozen kilometers lie the 10,000-ton berth Zhangzhou Dongshan Port, Guangdong’s Sanbaomen Port, as well as Shantou Airport and the railway station. The zone enjoys a uniquely advantageous geographical location, offering convenient and efficient transportation by sea, land, and air.
The park has established a "One Zone, Six Parks" development framework and plans to build a modern industrial and trade new district integrating electronics technology, textiles and apparel, modern food processing, manufacturing, and commerce and tourism within 3 to 5 years. Among these, the Electronics Industrial Park is primarily dedicated to developing high-tech industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and information technology; the Textiles and Apparel Industrial Park focuses on large-scale, low-pollution textile manufacturing;the Modern Food Industrial Park is primarily dedicated to developing and fostering the deep-processing food industry for Zha’an’s agricultural and sideline products; the Processing and Manufacturing Industrial Park is primarily dedicated to labor-intensive processing industries; the Commerce, Living, and Welfare Zone focuses on municipal services, commerce, finance, science, education, healthcare, and centralized living and welfare facilities; and the Commerce and Tourism Park is primarily dedicated to entertainment, dining, and the tourism industry.
