The China (Xiamen) Intelligent Audio-Visual Industry Base was established to implement the national media convergence strategy and the strategic plan to build a hub for the online audio-visual industry in the southeastern region and within Fujian Province. It responds to the National Radio and Television Administration’s “Smart Radio and Television” construction project and the “Audio-Visual Hub” initiative, and is based on the “Three-Year Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Xiamen’s Cultural Industry (2020–2022),” which calls for the creation of a “national-level online audio-visual industry base.”"With the online audio-visual industry at its core, the base aims to promote the integrated development of culture and technology and secure a leading position in the cultural industry during the 5G era. It is a national-level smart audio-visual industry base established with the approval of the National Radio and Television Administration.
