Premier Li Keqiang has met with Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Premier Li said that Wednesday's talks between President Xi Jinping and Hadi were fruitful. As one of the first Arab countries to establish diplomatic relations with China, Premier Li said China is eager to develop friendly and cooperative relations with Yemen. He added that China supports the political transition and economic reconstruction taking place now in Yemen. Li said China is ready to strengthen exchanges between the two governments, legislatures and parties, and will push for cooperation in such areas as electricity, energy, and telecommunications.

President Hadi said Yemen hopes to further boost its strategic cooperation with China and welcomes Chinese investment in electricity, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects.
