During the Tran Dynasty, Vietnam set up the Mangan Province, with the following areas under its jurisdiction: Bie Gang, Gao Gang, Madang Gang, Sangro She, Tang She, Truong She, and the area around the present-day Mangan and Ha Tinh Provinces.
