On the morning of the 8th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the GAC Mitsubishi New Energy Vehicle Project and the completion ceremony for the R&D building were held in the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone. This new energy vehicle project will leverage the respective strengths of GAC Group and Mitsubishi Motors to jointly develop their first new energy vehicle model. With a total investment of approximately 1 billion yuan, the project is scheduled to begin mass production in 2021 and is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 100,000 new energy vehicles once fully operational.
