Recently, GuChuan United officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on investment promotion with the Suzhou District Government. The two parties will collaborate on investment promotion services to effectively advance Suzhou District’s investment promotion efforts. The signing ceremony was attended by Wang Jing, Deputy District Governor of Suzhou District, and other officials, as well as Li Shuqi, Deputy General Manager of GuChuan United’s Tianjin Branch; Chen Ningning, Project Director; Gao Guiyan, Business Manager; and other representatives.
Located in western Gansu Province along the central section of the Hexi Corridor, Suzhou District is bordered by the Qilian Mountains to the south, the ancient Great Wall to the north, Jinzhangye to the east, and Jiayuguan to the west. It forms the “Su” region of Gansu and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Jiuquan City.
Furthermore, Jiuquan City, to which Suzhou District belongs, is a key hub in the national “Belt and Road” initiative and serves as a vital corridor connecting the mainland to Xinjiang, Mongolia, Central Asia, and Europe. In terms of industry, Suzhou District has in recent years implemented the “Six Major Strategies”—rural revitalization, industrial strengthening, cultural and tourism development, ecological conservation, coordinated development, and innovation-driven growth—to achieve balanced development across the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. Its GDP growth rate ranks among the highest in both the country and the province.
At the signing ceremony, Wang Jing, Deputy District Head of Suzhou District, noted that during the pandemic, Suzhou District and Guchuan United had shifted from traditional “face-to-face” and “in-person signing” methods to “screen-to-screen” and “online signing,” aligning with the trend toward “contactless” investment promotion to ensure that investment attraction efforts remained uninterrupted. She expressed hope that through this collaboration with Guchuan United, both parties would work together in solidarity to overcome challenges during the pandemic and accelerate the implementation of projects.
Li Shuqi, Deputy General Manager of Guchuan United’s Tianjin branch, stated that this partnership marks a new starting point and opportunity for both parties. Guchuan United will focus on Suzhou District’s key industries—including smart manufacturing, data and information technology, new materials, biopharmaceuticals, and energy conservation and environmental protection—to conduct targeted project identification using its investment promotion platform and project database, adhering to the principle of attracting large-scale and high-quality investments. The firm will also conduct professional evaluations of corporate capabilities and the quality of proposed projects, providing recommendations to facilitate project entry into the district. At the same time, adhering to the principle that “face-to-face meetings are paramount,” we will promptly arrange for prospective enterprises to visit Suzhou District for site inspections and engagement. This will deepen project partners’ understanding of the local environment, facilitate in-depth collaboration between them and Suzhou District, and promote the successful implementation of projects in the district.
A single flower does not make a spring; a hundred flowers blooming fill the garden with spring. Guchuan will also assist in Suzhou District’s investment promotion activities. In 2020, we signed a commissioned investment promotion cooperation agreement to launch comprehensive, targeted collaboration in project identification, scheduling visits, site inspections, and project implementation. Guchuan United will mobilize the full strength of our group to attract more high-quality projects to Suzhou, promote industrial clustering, and achieve a win-win partnership!
