The Yushe Economic and Technological Development Zone is adjacent to the Taiyuan-Changzhi Expressway, the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo Railway freight station, and Provincial Highway 102, with County Road 921 running through the zone. It is located 20 kilometers from the Yushe Station on the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo High-Speed Railway. The zone is a one-hour drive from Taiyuan, Yuci, and Changzhi; a four-hour drive from Beijing; a 40-minute drive from Pingyao; and a three-hour drive from Xingtai.
In January 2019, the Yushuo Economic and Technological Development Zone was established with the approval of the provincial government. With a planned total area of 11 square kilometers, the zone is positioned to become a new innovation demonstration zone for Shanxi’s pharmaceutical and health industries, focusing on pharmaceutical chemicals, biopharmaceuticals, and functional health foods.
