Park Overview
The Yangqu Modern Agricultural Industrial Demonstration Zone is located in the Nitun Basin of Nitun Town, Yangqu County, Taiyuan City, with a total planned area of 141.39 square kilometers. It is bounded by the eastern, western, and southern boundaries of Nitun Town (excluding the Lingjinggou Nature Reserve and the Lancun Spring Area Class I Protection Zone), and by the northern boundaries of Sixi Village and Nanlu Village to the north.
Development Objectives: To serve as a platform for the aggregation of agricultural and related industries, a key vehicle for implementing innovation-driven development, and a focal point for advancing new-type urbanization, thereby forming a new demonstration and promotion model characterized by “core demonstration—peripheral stimulation—broad radiation.”
Industrial Focus: With high-quality specialty minor grains and greenhouse vegetable cultivation as the leading industries, and agricultural product processing and rural tourism as extensions, the zone will be complemented by agricultural research and demonstration, logistics and warehousing, ecological wellness, and daily living services. It aims to build a modern urban agricultural industrial system integrating production, processing, research, distribution, leisure, and services, establishing the demonstration zone as Taiyuan’s primary supply base for green, organic, and pollution-free minor grains and vegetables, as well as a destination for suburban rural leisure tourism.
