Since its establishment in 2019, the Lingshi Economic and Technological Development Zone has developed a 18.7695-square-kilometer layout comprising “one zone and four parks.” It has established six major industrial clusters, including coal, coal coking, and metallurgy, with an annual production capacity covering the entire industrial chain—such as 3.3 million tons of raw coal mining and 8.11 million tons of coke production—and has embarked on a path of green and low-carbon development.
The Development Zone is adjacent to the South Tongpu Railway, Dayun Expressway, National Highway 108, and the Daxi High-Speed Railway, and is located just a 1.5-hour drive from Taiyuan, offering a superior location and convenient transportation.
Modern Coal Chemical Industry: There are currently seven enterprises in this sector, with key players including Juyi Fukang, Tianxing Coal Chemical, Juyuan Coal Chemical, and China Coal Chemical. The planned production capacity is 10 million tons, with 120,000 tons of carbon-based products. The sector focuses on developing products such as Fischer-Tropsch wax, ultra-high-power graphite electrodes, methanol, and hydrogen energy, as well as downstream building materials industries.
Aluminum Industry: There is currently one enterprise in this leading sector, with the key enterprise being Dongfang Xiwang Jinzhong Aluminum Co., Ltd. Future development will focus on the comprehensive utilization of red mud and the deep processing of aluminum, while gradually fostering the intelligent equipment manufacturing industry.
Cultural Tourism: There is currently one enterprise in this leading sector, with key projects including the Jingshan Old Street, the Family Culture Performance Center, and the Southern Jinzhong Tourism Hub.
