Park Overview
The Taiyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. The zone is planned to include a food processing area, a pharmaceutical and electronics industrial area, a mechanical, electrical, light industry, and packaging industrial area, a fine chemicals area, an agricultural products processing area, a bonded zone, and a warehousing area. The central area is designated for the comprehensive development of commercial, financial, service, and entertainment facilities. The Development Zone boasts exceptionally well-developed transportation infrastructure, including road, rail, and air networks. It has established a comprehensive system of intermodal connections and logistics networks that effectively integrate rail, road, and air transport. Highways: The central area of the zone is traversed by the Dayun Highway and National Highway 208, which run north-south through Shanxi Province. To the east lie National Highway 307 and the Taiyu First-Class Highway, while the Taiyuan Ring Expressway is planned for the northern side of the zone. The entrance to the Taiyuan–Shijiazhuang–Beijing Expressway is located 2 kilometers from the zone. The zone is well-connected to all parts of Shanxi and major national highways, offering extremely convenient access. Rail: Located in central Shanxi Province, Taiyuan serves as the province’s transportation hub. The railway hub is already operational, providing direct rail links from Taiyuan to major cities nationwide, including Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Hangzhou. Air: Taiyuan Airport is located just 2 kilometers from the development zone. As a backup airport for Beijing Capital International Airport, it currently operates 43 domestic and international routes.
