The Linfen Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone established in July 1997 with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial Government. In June 2017, the provincial government approved an expansion of the Linfen Economic Development Zone, increasing its total area from the original 7.8 square kilometers to 131.76 square kilometers.It encompasses three towns, one township, and one sub-district office, comprising a total of 11 communities and 48 administrative villages. In September 2018, the provincial government approved the Linfen Economic Development Zone’s application to be upgraded to a national-level development zone; the application has been submitted and is currently awaiting approval. It can be said that the Linfen Economic Development Zone is currently in a critical period of accelerated development and represents the optimal time for investment and business development.
Located north of Linfen City, the Linfen Economic Development Zone is situated at the heart of the Yellow River Golden Triangle—a region spanning Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Henan. The “10-billion-level Green Smart Manufacturing Park,” led by Huaxiang Group, will focus on smart casting, smart equipment, smart products, and additive manufacturing (3D printing),extending and filling gaps in industrial chains to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing. It will attract enterprises such as Central China Intelligent Manufacturing and extend industrial chains in sectors including intelligent robotics, automotive equipment manufacturing, and valve manufacturing, thereby building a nationally significant intelligent manufacturing industrial base.
The “10-billion-level Optoelectronic New Materials Industrial Park,” with Shanxi Feihong Group as the chain leader, will introduce enterprises such as Guangdong Meiyadi Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., Zhonglian Hengchuang, and Yixun Technology. It will focus on developing new nano-light sources, LED displays, semiconductor materials, semiconductor equipment,chip packaging, and anti-vibration motors, to build an integrated, full-ecosystem optoelectronics industrial base.
The “10-billion-level New Energy Industrial Park” is led by the Fortune 500 company Continental Hope Group as the industry chain leader. Through in-depth cooperation, it will attract leading enterprises in the new energy industry chain—including State Energy Group, SPIC, Guangdong Hydropower, Fujian Dongya,Shenzhen Xieneng, Fan’s Group, and Longdian Technology, among other leading enterprises in the new energy industry chain, with a focus on attracting and developing projects such as photovoltaic modules, wind turbines, energy storage equipment, and the secondary use of batteries.
The “10-billion-level Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industrial Park” is led by Zhongling Water Environment Group as the industry chain leader. Seizing the major opportunities presented by national environmental protection standards upgrades and rural revitalization, it will extend upstream and downstream industries and utilize big data and new technologies to prioritize the introduction and development of energy-saving and environmental protection manufacturing, integrated urban-rural wastewater treatment facilities, air pollution control equipment manufacturing, and energy-efficient fan manufacturing, thereby building a new base for green development.
The “10-billion-level Digital and Smart Industrial Park” thoroughly implements the provincial “Digital Transformation” strategy regarding the industrialization of digital technologies, the digitization of industries, the monetization of data, and the digitalization of governance. It actively partners with companies such as 360, Inspur,Tencent Video, and Huawei, among others. It introduces core digital industries such as electronic information manufacturing, software, and big data, vigorously promotes the application of BIM in the construction industry, and uses digital government, digital communities, digital factories, and big data cockpits as key drivers to facilitate the digital transformation of traditional industries and strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure.
