A municipal-level industrial development zone established in 1994 and designated as such by the municipal government in 1995, it is located in the central-western part of Fengxian District, Shanghai. The zone has a planned area of 21.03 square kilometers, with an industrial area of 11.26 square kilometers, of which the Fengxian Comprehensive Bonded Zone covers 1.88 square kilometers.The park integrates industrial development, technology incubation, and comprehensive bonded functions, with a focus on developing industries such as high-end equipment, new materials, biopharmaceuticals, and the digital economy. In 2021, it was recognized as “Fengxian’s First 10-Billion-Yuan Park,” having generated over 10 billion yuan in tax revenue for four consecutive years.In 2024, the park generated 10.112 billion yuan in tax revenue, accounting for 14.7% of Fengxian District’s total tax revenue; it achieved a total industrial output value of 48.627 billion yuan for enterprises above designated size, representing over 17% of the district’s total.The park is home to 1,109 entity enterprises, including 200 high-tech enterprises, 17 listed companies, and 8 enterprises invested in by Fortune Global 500 companies. It has been recognized as a National-Level Specialized Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and a Shanghai Municipal Specialized Industrial Park. The park enjoys convenient transportation links, bordering the Huangpu River to the north, Hangzhou Bay to the south, and adjacent to the Free Trade Zone and Yangshan Port to the east.
