The Zhangjiang Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology City (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology City) is located at the junction of Fengjing Town in Jinshan District, Shanghai, and Xindai Town in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province. Spanning both Shanghai and Zhejiang, it was jointly established by the Zhangjiang Jinshan Park and the Zhangjiang Pinghu Park, which are part of the Zhangjiang National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. The total planned area is 87 square kilometers, with 45 square kilometers located in Pinghu and 42 square kilometers in Fengjing.
The Science and Technology City is jointly promoted by the Shanghai Zhangjiang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinshan District of Shanghai, and Jiaxing City of Zhejiang Province. Under unified planning, construction, management, investment promotion, and operation, it aims to achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, and integrated development, thereby establishing a demonstration zone for integrated innovation and development between Shanghai and Zhejiang and for Zhejiang Province’s comprehensive alignment with Shanghai.
